Terms & conditions

The terms that apply when you book work with us or use this website. Plain English where we can.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. Who we are

These terms govern your use of Shepherd Cleaning Services Ltd. (“us”, “we”, “our”) and the services we provide. By booking a job or using our website, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and pricing

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Prices shown on our website are starting prices — the final price depends on the scope, property and timing, which we confirm with you in writing before any work begins. All prices are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

3. Booking and payment

One-off jobs are confirmed on receipt of your booking and are payable on completion. Regular contracts are billed monthly in advance or on completion of each visit (your choice). Accepted payment methods: card, bank transfer, and cash.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

  • 48+ hours notice — no charge, full refund or credit rolled forward.
  • 24–48 hours notice — 50% of the visit fee.
  • Less than 24 hours — full visit fee.

Regular contracts can be paused or cancelled with 30 days' written notice at any time.

5. Access to your property

If we work while you're out, you'll need to give us a way to access the property (key, code, lockbox, or smart-lock). We're fully insured for unattended work. We hold your keys securely when not in use.

6. Satisfaction guarantee

If you're not happy with any aspect of the work, tell us within 24 hours. We'll return and re-do the affected areas at no additional cost. This guarantee does not extend to issues caused by damage, misuse, or conditions not disclosed at the time of booking.

7. Insurance

We hold public liability insurance. Copies of certificates are available on request.

8. Liability

We take great care with your property. If we cause damage, we'll repair or replace (at our option) up to the limit of our insurance policy. We must be notified within 48 hours of the visit. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, fair wear and tear, or damage to items not designed for the work carried out.

9. Your obligations

You agree to provide accurate information at booking, ensure the property is safe to work in (e.g. no live electrical hazards, hazardous materials), and notify us of any changes to access arrangements.

10. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please email close2watchshepherd@gmail.com or call 07749 940 086. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within one working day and resolve them within five working days.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These terms are provided as placeholders. Before going live in earnest, replace them with a version reviewed by a UK commercial-law professional.
